2D Gender Scans
A gender scan is simply a scan to determine the gender of your baby. Our scan however tells you a lot more including the general health of your baby and also gives you the opportunity to bond with your baby as you see them on screen.
My name is Katrina I am a Clinical Specialist Sonographer in the field of Obstetric and Gynaecology Ultrasound and have worked in a busy fetal assessment unit for the last 7 years, I am delighted to be able to offer private Gender Scans for families in a relaxed environment.
A gender scan is usually done between 17 and 22 weeks into the pregnancy since the baby is developed enough to be able to distinguish the difference between boy or girl characteristics. Although nothing can be guaranteed we have a great success rate and a free rescan if baby is shy.
Creating Family Memories
At New Beginnings we use the advanced ultrasound technology offered by the Vinno E20 to offer a Gender Scan Experiences for new parents. Our Gender & Well Being Package is available from 17 weeks. It involves a 2D Scan lasting approximately 15-20 minutes scanning time. During this time parents can bond with Baby and we will prepare a wellbeing report. You can also hear your Baby's heartbeat and see your baby moving on the screen.
We also offer a glimpse of your Baby in 3D and 4D. A Gender Reveal package is available with a choice of verbal confirmation of gender, coloured lights in the room, or scratch card. In addition you will receive 10 printed images in 2D with all images will be sent in colour by email after scan
Share the Gender Scan with four additional guests welcome. We ask that children who attend are supervised by an adult.
Having a Gender Reveal Party, we can help!
Some parents like to be surprised and ask the sonographer to keep the details a secret by giving the information in an envelope and not saying it at the time of the gender scan. If you’re planning a gender reveal party, make sure to ask for the gender not to be revealed to you in person. We also have beautiful scratch cards which you can have to share with your family and friends.
We have been involved in many Gender Reveal Parties. This involves parents having a Gender Reveal Scan at the clinic and then us passing the information on the Gender Reveal Part organisers. We can speak to your cake decorators, balloon artists and other suppliers to ensure that your Gender Reveal is a great surprise for you and your family on the day of the big reveal.
